Heavily armed gunmen Friday morning raided some students of Benue State Polytechnic, Ugbokolo, carting away their valuables and food items. DAILY POST gathered that the robbers invaded Efoyo, a community dominated by students of the institution around 2 am, shooting sporadically into the air. A student of the institution, who was attacked by the gunmen, said the invaders inflicted injuries on them after robbing them of their valuables. “We could not sleep at all. They came into Efoyo around 2am. They were shooting sporadically and no security personnel challenged them. They came into our lodge, stole all our phones, our food items and a laptop I borrowed to do my project. “In fact, they had to beat us when they could not get money from our lodge,” the student said. A resident of Ideal Quarter, which was also attacked by the robbers said, “They nearly killed us because they could not get money. It was hell for us, because for close to three hours, these guys were operating and shooting sporadically same time. Sadly, there was no single security person in sight. We are sick and tired of all this.” Another female resident of Otabo Lodge also said they could not sleep due to the sound of the gunshots. She said some students teamed up with the vigilante group in the area, chased after the gunmen and arrested some of them. “They were paraded this morning. The police came to rescue them because some students wanted to lynch them,” she said. The attack came barely 24 hours after Mr. Andrew Ogbuja, a lecturer in the department of Hotel Management of the institution was remanded in the prison custody by a Makurdi court for alleged rape of a 13-year-old Ochanya Ogbaje.

EPL: Ozil hits back at Arsene Wenger after questioning his motivation
Arsenal midfielder, Mesut Ozil has explained that he gets aggressive while training and cannot help but get emotional when he misses big chances in games.
The Arsenal star is yet to show his best performance this first season under Unai Emery, but the Gunners are on an eleven-game winning streak.
The German international inspired a perfect comeback from 1-0 down against Leicester City on Monday, and was praised for leading by example after being handed the captain’s armband by Emery.
However, the club former boos, Arsene Wenger raised questions about Ozil’s motivation this season, even as the German insisted his attitude is on track.
“I always have motivation, particularly before the games, I want to win all the games and I hate to lose, even in training I am pissed and aggressive because I always want to win,” he told Sky Sports.
“I am a very calm person, sometimes on the pitch I get very emotional if I make mistakes or give the ball away because I want to make everything perfect.
“The coach wants me to give everything on the pitch, which is what I do but I still work hard to reach my aims.
“I have said before the main thing is to achieve more than we have over the last few years and I think we have the potential to win something with the team. Hopefully at the end of the season we will win some trophies.”

EPL: Again, Roman Abramovich speaks on selling Chelsea
Chelsea owner, Roman Abramovich, has again ruled out the possibility of selling Chelsea.
Recall that Abramovich was reported to be willing to sell the West London club if his £3billion valuation is met.
But Sky Sports is reporting that the Russian-Israeli billionaire is not considering selling the Stamford Bridge club, despite reports suggesting that Czech Republic’s richest person, Petr Kellner is interested in investing in the Blues.
The report added that no talk has taken place between Chelsea’s owner and any potential investor.
Chelsea were forced to deny reports last month that the 51-year-old is looking to cash-in after 15 years in West London.
An offer of £2billion was said to have been tabled by Britain’s richest man, Sir Jim Ratcliffe, but it will take a far bigger bid for Abramovich to sell Chelsea.
Recall that Abramovich rejected an approach from Ratcliffe to buy Chelsea Football Club.
Meanwhile, Chelsea will be taking on Burnley on Sunday in the Premier League fixture.

EPL: Mourinho ‘worried’ over De Gea’s future at Man United
Sport News
Manchester United manager, Jose Mourinho is concerned that David De Gea may decide to leave United and join the Seria A champions, Juventus on a free transfer, according to reports.
United are currently in talks with De Gea over a new deal as his current contract is due to expire at the end of the season.
The Red Devils have the option of extending the contract for an additional year but should he fail to sign a new long-term contract, United must decide whether to sell the Spain international next summer or risk losing him on a free transfer in 2020.
According to The Times, Mourinho is ‘worried’ by the current situation and Juventus have already made known their interest to the shot-stopper.
Juve chiefs also got a closer glimpse of De Gea during their Champions League win at Old Trafford on Tuesday evening.
According to the newspaper, “De Gea played against his future club on Tuesday. Juve are an expert in intelligent deals.
“If United don’t sell him in the summer, Juventus will wait until the end of his contract.”

Science Says These Are The Five Most Annoying Speaking Habits
When it comes to annoying speaking habits, it is not about what you say a lot of the time but the timing of your words and the mood at the moment. Here are five of the most annoying speaking habits according to researchers.
You’re A Pessimist
Pessimism is a self-fulfilling prophecy: if you expect to be disliked when meeting people, research shows you will probably project cold negativity and prove yourself right. On the other hand, social optimism, works pretty much the same way.
People who expect other people to like them will enter into conversation more positively and, often, leave the other person feeling the same way.
This doesn’t mean you need to suppress your emotions all day, but consider that happiness and sadness are contagious and the mood you give off will come back to you.
You Dominate Conversations
You don’t need experts to explain that getting a few things off your chest feels good but you might be shocked to know how good it can be.
Talking about ourselves whether in a personal conversation or through social media sites like Facebook and Twitter—triggers the same sensation of pleasure in the brain as food or money.
If you are depriving your friend of the joys of talking about themselves, it could be annoying to them. Don’t be a conversational narcissist suspend your ego and enjoy more social interaction.
You Correct People Too Often
experts say a key tool in establishing rapport with someone is suspending your ego, or simply putting the other person’s desire to speak and be heard above your own.
This can be as easy as not interrupting someone, not correcting her facts or grammar, and letting her know you’re listening, not judging. Individuals who allow others to continue talking without taking their own turn are generally regarded as the best conversationalists.
Such individuals are also sought after when friends or family need someone to listen without judgment. They are the best at building quick and lasting rapport.
You Say “you” Instead Of “we”
Chances are, if the pronoun you use most often in conversation is “you,” the person on the receiving end either feels bossed around, judged, or otherwise accused. On the other hand, couples who favour words that foster togetherness (“we,” “us”) instead to separateness (“I,” “you”) are proven to be happier, healthier, and more satisfied with their relationships.
You End Statements Like Questions
Uptalk or “upspeak” is the speech pattern of ending a declarative sentence with the rising intonation of a question. In one study of 700 male and female executives, 85 percent viewed uptalk as an indicator of insecurity, 70 percent found it annoying, and 57 percent believed a person’s career could be hindered by it.
The bias against uptalkers is undeniable, but easily countered: to sound more confident and authoritative, practice lowering your tone at the end of key sentences.
